Unhappy Game going too slow to play

Ok guys my game is running WAY to slowly.

I have the -perfs command on so I can see my FPS and bytres/sec etc and as soon as I log on now the bytes/sec drops instantly to 0.

This is not an internet problem because my internet is working fine and hitting aorund 270mbps right now.

Is anyone else getting this right now or is it just me?

Oh yeah I just did spyware and virus scans and nothing came up. Also I just cleaned my registry after it went realy slow and it hasnt helped either.

Of course it's an internet issue if your bytes/sec drops to zero! What else could it be?

No, he means his internet service provider connection.

I have exactly the same problem. The game either just wont connect to Anet, wont load after char selection screen, or is soooo laggy that you cannot play at all.

I phoned my ISP and gave them all sorts of hell, (Nice when your brother is the ISP owner!! LOL) and he followed my connection attempt and told me the following:

My connection speed is great from me to their servers and lines (we tried a few diff connection options for me, including putting me onto his backup diginet line all by myself), the connection is fine through about 4 different IP addys on the route to the GW servers.... and the pings go dead at the GW servers. He tried finding me other routings - same trouble.

So this is NOT the OP's ISP problem and probably NOT a routing problem (as Anet says on their disconnection pop-up) - The problem is Anet servers are overloaded and laggy as hell, with the new Domain of Anguish open, everyone with NF is either playing the new area or desperately trying to finish the game to access the areas.

So the solution is - don't play till the novelty of DoA has worn off or wait till monday when everyone has to go back to work/school.

Now, I know NOTHING about the gizzards of computers, I know NOTHING of any technical value. I don't mean this as a definitive answer to the OP's problem - it's just my experience over the last 3 days and I hope it might help the OP find his problem. If he knows a tame employee of his ISP then maybe they can trace his routing and find where his connection is dying.
